As a member of its Research and Library Services team, answered reference questions, tracked and summarized technology and business news for senior executives and clients, helped train staff members, and managed special projects such as researching and writing an analysis and directory of firms in the bioinformatics sector.

- Developed a sharp eye for detail, facility at conducting interviews, and skill in communicating with clients and sources as a journalist and editor of material from breaking news to novels to press releases. Worked for the Waggener Edstrom PR firm and newspapers including The New York Times, Willamette Week, the Anchorage Daily News, The Roanoke (Va.) Times & World-News.
